I am honored to have the opportunity to continue serving the citizens of Livingston Parish in the State Legislature for four more years. I thank you for your support and vote of confidence.
In January 2008, I was sworn in as State Representative for House District 71 representing Livingston Parish in the State Legislature. I consider it an honor to serve the citizens of Livingston Parish in the State Legislature.
I have worked hard to fairly represent all of the citizens of Livingston Parish.
While we have made significant improvement to roads in Livingston Parish, it is important that we continue to address the need for other road improvements as our population continues to grow.
I look forward to continue to serve you in the State Legislature and welcome
your comments and recommendations as we continue to work together to improve
Livingston Parish and Louisiana.
The State of Louisiana continues to be faced with budget issues and a lack of
revenue to operate state government and all of the programs contained in the budget.
You and I cannot spend more than we take in and state government should be no different.
We must address the declining revenue and increased spending by state government.
I will continue to be a voice of fiscal responsibility in the state legislature.
We will continue next legislative session to address the reduction of spending and the
size of state government.
We can do better and we must.
In January 2012, I was elected by the House of Representative members serving in the 6th Congressional District to serve on the House Appropriations Committee. I was also selected to serve on the Joint Legislative Committee on the Budget.
